A handsome book on the 100 year history of Calgary Parks is now online as a PDF. Not available in bookstores, if you want a hardcopy you'll have to pry it out of the hands of a parks employee or alderman! The writer was John Gilpin, who recently authored another book about the history of the Elbow River in Calgary, and is speaking at the June 23 heritage roundtable (see the Event listing).
