The next annual National Preservation Conference, sponsored by the
National Trust for Historic Preservation, will be held October 27-30
in Austin, Texas. I've attended the conference every year since 1999,
and find it really worthwhile not only for the diverse content but
also for the calibre of attendees and presenters, including leaders
who pioneered or
perfected many of the historic preservation tools we use today.
Early Bird registration ends July 31. Your best deal is to become a
member of National Trust Forum, which gives you a considerable saving
on registration along with other benefits (quarterly journal and
monthly newsletter, list-serve, announcements of jobs, funding
sources, and events, etc....).
The preliminary program is at www.preservationnation.org/resources/tr ... rogram.pdf
General info is at www.preservationnation.org/resources/training/npc/
Hope to see you there!
