Happy Flag Day. George Stanley, the designer of the Maple Leaf flag, was raised in Calgary in the house that is now Laurier Lounge. CHI and ther groups collaborated last year to put a plaque on the house to commemmorate this. More info:

Happy Flag Day. February 15 is Canada's national Flag Day, celebrating the Maple Leaf flag designed by Calgary native George Stanley, who grew up in the house at 1111 7th Street SW, now home to the Laurier Lounge.
