Bowness Park redevelopment

The City of Calgary Parks is in the preliminary stages of redevelopment planning for Bowness Park. This is one of Calgary's most important historic sites / cultural landscapes... An open house was held on October 22, 2008 to gather public input on the park's redevelopment. The history of development and recreation at Bowness Park was presented as well as the current concerns with the natural and built elements within the park.

Phase 2 Open House - A second open house is being held to engage public participation in reviewing the plans.

Plans to improve Bowness Park and restore some of its historic elements have moved ahead throughout the year and are now near the top of the list for City attention. The cash may come by 2011...
