City looks at parking relaxation for adaptive reuse

Postby newsposter » Wed Sep 04, 2013 1:33 pm

The City is looking at developing a policy to guide how and when it relaxes parking requirements in commercial areas to encourage/facilitate "adaptive re-use" of buildings. Heritage buildings in these areas already typically have some flexibility. Presumably this work would refine that practice for heritage and other existing buildings in certain locations and circumstances. Here is a link to the agenda where the report sits (Council's PUD meeting September 6, 2013)
