2012 Calgary Heritage Authority (CHA) Lion Awards - Applications now being accepted
The Lion Awards are presented biennially by the Calgary Heritage Authority (CHA) to recognize outstanding projects and individuals who have contributed to historic conservation and awareness efforts in Calgary.
These awards honour individuals and groups who have undertaken initiatives, of any scale, in support of heritage conservation and awareness in Calgary. We encourage you to identify heritage projects that you have worked on since June 2006 and submit them for a Lion Award. They may qualify in one or more of the six categories. This year’s categories are as follows:
· Resource conservation
· New building design
· Landscape
· Community Revitalization
· Advocacy and awareness
· Heritage tradespeople/craftspersons
Specifically, there may be projects that you have worked on with clients that would qualify under the categories of Community Revitalization, Resource Conservation or New Building Design.
The nomination deadline is June 1, 2012. For more information, please visit www.calgary.ca/lionawards
