See the last house in downtown Calgary

The simple, grey bungalow isn’t remarkable to look at and it’s never had a famous resident.
But it seems this old house near the corner of 9th Street and 5th Avenue S.W. may have secured a minor place in local history as the last single-residential property in the downtown commercial core.
It may be difficult to imagine today, but much of the downtown area that’s now studded with glass towers once included streets lined with one and two-storey homes.
The city’s latest property assessment data reveals there’s only one single-residential property left in the downtown commercial core. After searching the area, this house appears to be the one.
