Whenever there is talk of a wellknown historic building or other commercial structure being demolished to make way for another glass and steel tower, there is much discussion as to the importance of such in the short history of this city.
But little notice seems to be taken of the loss of residential properties, particularly the smaller homes that served the earlier emigrants to this city that are quickly falling prey to new infills.
Artist Bill Duma is saddened by their loss and has captured a number of those he finds quite attractive in a series of paintings that will be exhibited at Wallace Galleries opening on Oct. 29...
