Local Alberta History Project

Postby Soul of Canada » Wed Jun 03, 2015 10:22 am

I would like to invite the members of the Calgary Heritage Initiative
Society to Calgary’s 8th annual Antique, Furniture and Collectables
Sale (June 6 & 7 2015) on behalf of Randal Kabatoff, founder of Soul
of Canada.

Soul of Canada (award winning Alberta history research and publishing
company) will be at the show and this year we have been given a large
space for our local history displays.

We will be introducing new as well as upcoming projects such as our
“Doing the Groundwork” book, which is in the last stages of research
and writing (to be published later this year). The book focuses on Alberta
and Calgary social, political and industrial history. We are always looking
for collaborators and contributors to our projects and shows like this one
are a wonderful opportunity to meet and network with like minded folks
who share our passion for local history!

We are interested in meeting with individuals who have family
photographs and local history knowledge with the possibility of
including their stories and photos in our projects.

Discount codes for our services will be given out to visitors and
there will be a prize draw (for one of our Framed History Showcases
and a 2016 calendar).

Come visit and enjoy browsing over 50 vendors from across Canada.
Bring family, family history, photographs and your curiosity!

Parking is free, concessions are available and the event is wheelchair
accessible. Please pass on this invitation to anyone who may be interested.

Also, Check out our new blog at soulofcanada.com/history-blog for more
historical content.
