Experts from the Calgary Heritage Triangle share and explore what resources they offer to help you uncover the history of your house, whether it’s a hundred years old or younger.

The Heritage Triangle consists of:


Glenbow Library and Archives focuses on the history of Calgary and southern Alberta.


Calgary Public Library, Community Heritage and Family History focuses on the history and development of Calgary and Alberta from pre-history to the present.


The City of Calgary, Corporate Records, Archives provides access to civic records that include building history and land use history research.

Not a member? Get yours at any CPL branch. $12 for adults and $9 for Seniors (65+) with two pieces of identification, one with your current Calgary residential address and the other photo identification or an AB Drivers License covers both criteria.

Another session of "Research the History of Your House!"

On Saturday, May 25 at 2:00 pm, the Calgary Heritage Triangle invites you to join their workshop "Research the History of Your House." The session takes place at Central Library - Lower Level, Meeting Room 1 and runs until 3:00 pm.

Are you interested in participating in Century Homes this year or generally interested in finding out how to go about researching local building history? Experts from the Calgary Heritage Triangle share and explore what resources they offer to help you uncover the history of your house, whether it’s a hundred years old or younger. The Heritage Triangle consists of: Glenbow Library and Archives, Calgary Public Library, Community Heritage and Family History and The City of Calgary, Corporate Records, Archives.
