Heritage fans may be interested in a free "Civic Camp" event happening on Saturday. "CivicCamp is a community building exercise, open to anyone who wants to talk about ways to improve the place in which they live" according to their site at www.civiccamp.org. Civic Camp has been active in the Plan It Calgary discussion, for example.
The FREE event is Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts. "This daylong event will recap (Civic Camp's) accomplishments of the last six months and will focus on how we can continue to make positive change and build a citizen movement in Calgary." It's all about translating ideas into action.
