Heritage Trades Roundtable
Traditional Brick and Brick Masonry

Join us for a free evening of learning and networking at our 2nd Heritage Trades Roundtable. Develop an appreciation of traditional building methods and materials. Meet some of the people who make possible the preservation and maintenance of the buildings and features we love – from chimneys to châteaus.

Historic brick production & industry in Alberta – Malcolm Sissons, president, I-XL Industries Ltd., a 4th generation family business founded in 1912 as the Redcliff Pressed Brick Co.

Current brick masonry trade, traditional methods – Neil Puype, principal of a heritage building consulting company and 5th generation brick and stone mason

Early brickyards & building with brick in Calgary – Marilyn Williams, Heritage Roundtables steering committee

There will be an opportunity for discussion, and time before and after the talks to enjoy refreshments and expand your heritage network.

Tuesday, January 28, 7-9:00 pm, doors open 6:30 pm
