The Federation of Calgary Communities and The City of Calgary collaborate on "Partners In Planning" courses, free workshops that educate community members and the public about the planning process. This course in March is about Heritage Planning:

Planning With Heritage in Mind (Elective Course)

The Municipal Development Plan and the Calgary Heritage Strategy present a new vision where the City works with a range of stakeholders including communities to build a culture of preservation. Join heritage staff to learn how the City works with stakeholders to preserve historic resources and implement the strategy. Includes an introduction to the preservation principles of “identification, protection and management”, illustrated with local case studies.

Date: March 16th, 2013
Time: 9:00am to 12:00pm. Doors open and sign-in at 8:30 am. Coffee and refreshmens provided.
