Designation of the CC Snowdon building is being pursued by current building owner, Neil Richardson:
“Everybody loves Stephen Avenue and looks at that as our heritage. Obviously the banks and the high-end retail were important buildings at the time. They are pretty buildings,” Richardson said. “But a lot of these industrial buildings weren’t the most ornate structures, or the most cherished. But they are certainly a part of our past. When people think oil refinery, they don’t think of a brick building with a decorative arch.”
