Calgary's heritage is equally at risk by developers, as witnessed by the eradication of Penny Lane to create Eighth Avenue Place.

CHI encourages all Calgarians to nominate sites to the city's Heritage Inventory. As witnessed with the Herald Block downtown if a building is not on the city's inventory (available on-line at: http://www.calgary.ca/PDA/LUPP/Pages/Heritage-planning/Historic-resources/Inventory-of-evaluated-historic-resources.aspx) it won't be recognized for its historic significance and may at risk.
