7:10Proposed City of Calgary Historic Resource Management Plan
- Darryl Cariou Presentation – approximately 15 minutes
- Questions for Darryl – 15 minutes
7:40Roundtable
– 5 minute maximum per group
1) A brief round table where each community answers the questions:
- Do you have a Heritage Committee in your community?
- If not, are you planning to start one?
- If so, what are the priorities of your committee?
2) How do you see this forum being of value?
Networking, hearing concerns of other communities? An opportunity to:
- work on common solutions?
- support each other on heritage issues?
- examine heritage legislation?
- learn about available resources?
( For the purpose of compiling the results for parts 1 and 2, it would be great if participants could put their responses in writing, and either email them to marilynwilliams@shaw.ca before the meeting, or hand them in at the meeting.)
3) Next meeting – who would like to host the meeting? Agree upon the theme for the meeting.
(One suggestion is to invite representatives from funding bodies who fund heritage initiatives to speak about their organizations, funding cycles and processes.)
8:30 Informal Networking and Socializing
An opportunity to mix and mingle with likeminded people.
